Hey friends! With the economy at an all time low all across the world, the effect can also be seen on the entertainment industry. In the past few weeks we have seen many shows being cancelled or the artists being laid off just because their budgets were beyond reach. And now our favorite show Life on Mars is set to face a similar fate. Well, recently 20th Century Fox Television, asked producers to trim the show’ budget. But thankfully it entrusted the show with the responsibility of cutting down the production budget by 2%. Unlike other networks, it did not cancel the show or fired some of the cast members which would have anyways ruined the show. Now at least the show’s creators can choose the areas where they can cut down on expenses. A spokesperson of the Fox Network has reportedly said that these are really challenging economic times and since everyone is aware of the decrease in revenues, these steps are necessary to protect the entertainment business. Well, I really agree with the guy, its better to make some compromises rather than lose some good quality television.

It is yet to be determined how deeply the budget cuts will affect Life on Mars. I personally feel that we will get to see less of location shooting, axing a guest star here and there, and possibly even considering a clip episode. The trimmed cost accounts to nearly half the cost of a single episode in a standard 22-episode season. But I think that location shooting and guest stars are simply add-ons that can boost a good series. However, if a series is really bad, I mean if it is not well written or directed then even these things can’t save it. But thankfully, Life on Mars series is a well written and well created series that can survive on its own without the support of such trivial effects. And I think we can compromise a little to keep our most loved series on air. So guys, if you don’t find the locales as interesting, just remember that you are watching a good show not a beautiful locale.

Are you also looking for what next is going to happen in the next episode of “Life on Mars”? “Tuesday’s Dead” episode has just gone. Entire episode went on in a hospital with Sam, Ray, Annie and Gene in a hostage situation. The entire episode revolved around a crazed gunman. He wanted the doctor to reverse a dangerous operation on his brother. Sam and gang were deputed to diffuse a potentially explosive face-off in the hospital. This was all about the episode last aired.

Like everybody, I was also curious to know what happens in next episode. So I searched a lot. Eventually, found a little chunk about that. Let’s don’t waste time and I am eager to tell what I know. The next episode to be aired is “The Man Who Sold the World” and will hit the screen on 20^th of this month.

As per my information, this episode will be about Sam’s father, who went missing since Sam was a three-four years old kid. In this episode, he finds that his father is accused of kidnapping a prominent family’s child. May be that’s why he left the city. This is also possible that he was framed in the case of kidnapping and has died. Also he could be in jail or might be living under a pseudonym. These are all my guesses. If you want to know what exactly happened, you, too, will have to wait for the episode to be aired, like me.

As far as I know, now Sam develops a notion that he has been sent in 1973 for some purpose. That is to save his father’s life and prevent him from going missing. This episode will also throw some light on childhood of Sam. So expect to explore a little more about Sam’s personality.

Every episode carries some suspense and most of the times an amazing surprise, that’s why I love to watch this show. In fact, I have already downloaded and watched the initial episodes of the series once again. This is my destination to enjoy the show, when it’s off-screen. Which is yours?
